The Ritz Charles was born in the Indianapolis area and soon led to an independently owned location in suburban Kansas City. After hosting thousands of events, we’ve learned that one good event leads to another. Our clients know they can trust Ritz Charles to exceed their expectations. That’s why we focus on superlative service and attention to detail.

Since its establishment in 1997, Hawthorne House has become Kansas City’s premier special events facility and has been selected as the 2007, 2008/2009, 2010, 2011, and 2013 pick of Best of Weddings in Kansas City by The Knot magazine and the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Bride’s Choice Award. When Hawthorne House opened, our mission was to provide each client with excellent service, outstanding cuisine and a professionally maintained facility with beautiful surroundings. Today, that remains our primary goal.
